ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- A college student who returned home to Saint Louis County from Italy may be the first in Missouri to have contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus. Governor Mike Parson and County Executive Sam Page announced the development during a news conference Saturday night in Clayton. Officials say the female patient was tested Friday at Mercy Hospital Saint Louis and returned home to quarantine. They're calling the case a "presumptive positive" case. Mercy Hospital officials say their staffers followed the proper protocols and the hospital is safe for all.
