ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Instead of waiting for retirement Morten Innes and his wife Dorthe wanted to do something now. The Denmark couple stepped away from good jobs – he was a purchaser for an oil company and she an events coordinator for a soccer club.
The couple started cycling across America in January, peddling away from Los Angeles. They've been through Arizona, Wyoming, Montanna and Idaho. And camping along the way.

This week they went through St. Louis and peddled away on their bikes, heading south on Broadway by the Anheuser-Busch brewery and were hoping to make St. Francis Park in Bonne Terre, Mo. – about 60 miles away – to camp for the night.
They expect to get to Miami in two months, after heading south to Memphis and through the Smokey Mountains. They've been averaging about 60 miles a day.
