ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The popular North St. Louis lunch spot, Crown Candy, is getting ready to reopen to curbside service starting Tuesday morning. It's been just over a month since Andy Karandzieff, owner of Crown Candy had to close his doors.

Karandzieff says he’s already cooking bacon for his famous “heart attack” BLTs to be set for the 10:30 a.m. reopening

April 10 was its last day of sales, but it was only for the candy rush before Easter. The Crown Candy dining room has been closed since the end of March.

"It's been a little bit frustrating because I've worked my entire life and most of my employees have worked their entire lives," Karandzieff says. "So we all had to kind of adjust to not doing nothing."

They'll be open for curbside and walkup customers only and says they're going to have to "learn how to do everything different."

Karandzieff says he hopes to swing open the doors to inside dining as soon as possible, and will reevaluate the situation in June.

Starting May 18, all restaurants in St. Louis will be allowed to reopen, but only to 25% capacity and will have to make sure all customers are able to be seated or stand in line with at least 6 feet of separation.
