'His behavior is malicious and beyond reckless': Political donor Ed Buck charged after 3 men overdosed in his Hollywood home

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office charged Buck with one count each of battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house, according to the news outlet.

This incident follows the deaths of two men after they overdosed on methamphetamine 18 months apart inside Buck's home. Buck was not charged in either the case of Gemmel Moore, 26, nor that of Timothy Dean, 55, according to Fox. 

“From his home, in a position of power, Buck manipulates his victims into participating in his sexual fetishes,” prosecutors wrote in court papers, the LA Times reports. “These fetishes include supplying and personally administering dangerously large doses of narcotics to his victims ... Not deterred by the senseless deaths of Moore and Dean, the defendant nearly killed a third victim last week.”

Buck, who is prominent in the LGBTQ political scene, has a history of donating thousands of dollars to Democrats including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, BuzzFeed News reports.

Buck is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for his arraignment. Prosecutors are urging that bail be set at $4 million.

"Defendant Buck is clearly a predator with no regard for human life. His behavior is malicious and beyond reckless. His fetish led to the grooming and eventual death of Gemmel Moore," prosecutors said. "Undeterred, defendant Buck then engaged in the exact same behavior with Timothy Dean, leading to his untimely death. Shockingly, defendant Buck continued his path of destruction, nearly causing another fatal incident. His deadly behavior has not stopped."
