Grafton's Sky Tour is finally ready to take you to the skies

GRAFTON, Ill. (KMOX) — As it continues recovering from the losses caused by the spring and summer flooding, Grafton has a new attraction it's hoping will keep the tourists coming into the winter. It's the long-awaited Sky Tour at Aeries Resort, which finally opened on Friday after months of flood-caused delays.

"You have to go to the Smokey Mountains or the Rocky Mountains to find something like this," Resort Operations Manager JD Lorton proclaimed to KMOX's Brian Kelly.

He says that they're going to take advantage of the tour to stage new events at what usually is a quiet time in the river town.  "We're going to put Christmas lights up, have a little winter wonderland, use the terrace (and) have Santa Claus there. So we're going to do somethings to try to ignite some excitement here for the winter."
