ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens tried to save the lives of two men shot near St. Louis University Monday night. Police say the incident happened near Grand and Lindell Boulevards, outside St. Francis Xavier College Church, at about 8:15 p.m. A bullet-riddled SUV was stopped on Grand Boulevard, in front of the church.
Witnesses say Greitens and a friend were eating dinner nearby. They reportedly ran to grab medical kits and rendered first aid to the victims. Greitens is a former Navy Seal.
