ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Some MetroBus routes in the St. Louis area are running behind schedule Monday because an unusually high number of drivers called off work. Spokeswoman Patti Beck says 287 busses run on a normal Monday morning in Missouri. Monday morning seven busses weren't in service and 18 were late leaving the garage.Metro says other personnel were assigned to drive some of the routes, but there weren't enough to make up the difference. Beck also says negotiations started this morning between Metro and the union representing the bus drivers, but didn't say if that's behind the mass call-out.© 2019 KMOX (Entercom).
