ILLINOIS (KMOX) — Metro East motorists should plan ahead for some upcoming road closures.
On Wednesday, Sept. 25, northbound IL 157 between I-270 and Chain of Rocks Road will be restricted to one lane from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Intermediate full lane closures of 10 to 15 minutes will be necessary to set a new overhead truss. IDOT anticipates the work will be done here by the next day.
On Monday, Sept. 30, the entrance ramp from IL 3 in Sauget to I-55/64 westbound will be closed during the early morning hours for bridge surface repairs.
IDOT expects The ramp to reopen Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019.
A marked detour will direct traffic along IL 3 northbound to I-55/64/70 eastbound to Barrack Obama Avenue to South Main Street to access I-55/64 westbound.
