ST. CHARLES, Mo (KMOX) - Residents of a senior living community who have been stuck in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic were in need of some entertainment on Thursday. Miniature horses seemed to do the trick.
Some ranchers with AppleJack Therapy brought by a pair of their animals to put some smiles on the faces of residents at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Charles.
Due to social distancing guidelines, the residents weren't allowed to pet the animals, but many enjoyed the show-and-tell by AppleJack from a safe distance.
AppleJack Therapy Foundation, based in Defiance, Mo. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring happiness, joy and laughter through equine therapy while raising awareness of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
