MADISON, Ill. (KMOX) - Sunday is the final day of the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals at Worldwide Technology Raceway in Madison.

The stars of drag racing will be on display for all to watch and to meet.

There's no bigger name in the sport than 16-time world champion Funny Car driver John Force, "I've been racing four decades. I go back to the 1960's. I turned 70 this year. Why do I still do it? I do it because I love it. The race car don't know how old I am."

Two-time world champ Robert Hight says a visit to the track will tax your senses to the max, "You hear it. You smell it. You taste it. You feel it. The ground shakes when 11,000 horsepower cars take off."

Antron Brown is a three-time champ, with a prediction for those attending their first NHRA race, "You will leave and be hooked like a big mouth bass, and be a fan forever."

Track officials say all the reserved seats were bought-up for Saturday's qualifying sessions. That's the fourth year in a row for a Saturday sellout and sixth out of the past seven years.
