ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — St. Louisans may focus on crime, but according to a new survey, the St. Louis area also has the safest cities in the entire state.
According to backgroundchecks.org, of the top 12 safest cities in Missouri, 11 are in St. Louis County, one in St. Charles County.
Based on their safety index, which combines FBI crime statistics along with law enforcement numbers, the safest cities in the state are:
- Town and Country
- Clayton
- Kirkwood
- Ballwin
- Manchester
- Creve Coeur
- Eureka
- St. Ann
- Webster Groves
- Lake St. Louis
- Crestwood
- Maryland Heights
