Harry E. Johnson first heard Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech in 1963 while attending St. Barbara’s grade school at Minerva and Hamilton in north St. Louis.  Johnson also studied at Christian Brothers High School and St. Louis University.  In 2002, he was appointed President and CEO of the Foundation funding the King Memorial on The Mall in Washington, D.C.  Johnson, an attorney in Houston, raised $114 million for the project, which was completed in 2011.
