ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A second man has been charged for the shooting death of 15-year-old Sentonio Cox.

Brian Potter, 47, of the 7100 block of Vermont, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed criminal action.

Bond was not allowed.

Cox was found shot in the head in the 7300 block of Vermont in south St. Louis in August.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office said the first suspect, Joseph Renick, 54, pointed a revolver at Cox as the teenager backed away with his hands raised. Renick then allegedly fired one shot into Cox's head, killing him. It is unclear what caused the confrontation that led to the shooting just before 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.

No other details about Potter's involvement were released.
