DES PERES, Mo. (KMOX) updated at 3:45 - An off-duty police officer fired one shot at fleeing suspects in the parking garage of West County Mall after they allegedly assaulted a store manager, according to police.
The Des Peres Department of Public Safety says the officer identified himself to the suspects and chased them on foot, then the suspects got into a "small black vehicle." As the officer approached the vehicle and again instructed the suspects to stop, the vehicle accelerated and police say the officer fired one shot at the vehicle.

No injuries or arrests have been reported. The fleeing vehicle struck another vehicle in the parking garage.
Police did not have an update on the condition of the store manager who was assaulted.
The mall does not allow civilians to carry firearms into the mall, but police officers are allowed to carry firearms even if they are off duty.
