ST. LOUIS/HAZELWOOD (KMOX) -- A St. Louis police officer suffered a minor hand injury while trying to take two people into custody Thursday afternoon.Police say a marked patrol car tried to stop a vehicle they thought was involved in an earlier burglary. The suspects sped off. Police deployed a spike strip at Belt and Natural Bridge, but they kept going through St. Louis County until they finally stopped in Hazelwood -- they didn't hit any other vehicles and there wasn't an accident. Police say the two suspects, who didn't appear to be injured, ran from the vehicle and were arrested on Steve Avenue in Hazelwood. The investigation continues.© 2019 KMOX (Entercom).
