AFFTON, Mo. (KMOX) — A series of commercial burglaries in South County has business owners concerned. Affton Muffler and Brake owner John Russell says his shop was burglarized on Friday. It's the second time in six weeks.
He's one of several auto repair shops that have been hit. The burglar allegedly kicks open the bay door at the hinge just enough to squeeze in.
Russell says police told him that they think one man is responsible for the burglaries -- and he hopes they get him because he's -- quote -- "plain tired of it."
"I can't secure the place to keep him out," Russell told KMOX News. "At least he only steals the cash out of the cash drawer."
Russell says police told him that they think one man is responsible for the burglaries, and he hopes they get him because he's "plain tired of it."
Lindbergh Tire, Squires Automotive, Car X, Meineke and more have been burglarized recently.
