ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - All of the indoor and outdoor attractions at Union Station in downtown St. Louis will reopen on Monday. That includes the aquarium, observation wheel, carousel, mini golf course, rope course and mirror maze.
And the St. Louis Aquarium has some new animals and dive show for guests to see. There's a new 4-year-old Tamandua, or Lesser Anteater named "Annie." And in the shark tank, other new animals include Zebra Sharks and Bonnethead Sharks, one of the smaller sharks in the Hammerhead family.
A new Dive Show will also take place three times a day, at 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 4 p.m., in the Shark Canyon exhibit. Guests will be able to ask questions of the Aquarium's divers who will be wearing special communications masks during the 20-minute shows.
Colorful murals also have been added to wall spaces throughout the Aquarium.
All guests, including annual pass holders, will be required to reserve timed tickets in advance to keep within City of St. Louis regulations for significantly reduced capacity in the Aquarium. See the full rules and regulations, here.
New physical distancing protocols will be in place along with enhanced sanitation measures and extensive team member training to ensure the health and safety of guests and workers.
All of the attractions at Union Station closed in March due to the pandemic.
Also planning to reopen this month are the Saint Louis Zoo (June 13) and St. Louis Science Center (June 20).
