ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-St. Louis City and County residents will be under a stay at home order, effective Monday.
Mayor Lyda Krewson and County Executive Sam Page released a statement saying the restrictions will require people to stay home when possible. However, it says residents will still be able to go to the grocery store, the pharmacy and take a walk in a public park.
Krewson and Page say they will release more details Saturday.
The news comes as St. Louis County records its first Covid-19 death.
Judy Wilson-Griffin was a nurse specialist at St. Mary's Hospital. Page says she was in her 60's and had previous medical complications. She was diagnosed with the virus on Wednesday
A SSM spokesperson tells KMOX Wilson-Griffin had gone on personal time for the past few weeks and had just returned from traveling. She had not been at the hospital.. She is being remembered by co-workers as a "hero in the truest sense."
