'No mask. NO SERVICE': St. Louis County creates new signs for businesses to display

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis County has new signage available for all businesses to display, which read "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Masks, NO SERVICE."

Both the County and St. Louis city are more than two weeks into its face mask mandate for all indoor and some outdoor public spaces. 

"However frustrating (face masks) may be, until we have those exceptions, COVID will continue to spread in our community, it will threaten school reopenings and it will threaten our ability to keep businesses open," Page said in his Wednesday morning press conference.

On Wednesday, Page also stated that the County has given away more than 2 million masks so far, with another 200,000 ready to be distributed this weekend and 1 million more will be delivered later this summer.

Missouri reported 1,138 new cases of COVID on Tuesday – once again breaking its own record for the largest single-day increase in cases. Deaths from the virus have slowed, but it’s killed 1,143 people in Missouri so far.

Missouri last set its previous record for the largest increase in cases reported in a single day on Saturday with 958 new cases.
