St. Louis to make free PPE available to some small businesses

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Some small businesses located in the City of St. Louis will be able to get some free help protecting themselves and their customers before next Monday's reopening day. 

St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson announced personal protective equipment (PPE) will be available starting Thursday to eligible businesses. To be considered for the packages, businesses will need to fill out the request form, linked here. Eligible small businesses must be located in the city and have no more than 10 on-site employees. Sole proprietors are also eligible, Krewson stated.

Businesses will need to be able to pick up their PPE Healthy Restart Packs at one of the following locations during the listed times and dates:

  • 1408 N. Kingshighway Blvd. (10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on May 14, May 15, or May 18)
  • 3115 S. Grand Blvd. (10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on May 14, May 15, or May 18)
  • 1520 Market St. (9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on May 14, May 15, or May 18)

The city released guidelines for phase one of it reopening plan that begins May 18.

St. Louis County is also allowing most businesses to reopen that day. However, entertainment, conference and sporting venues, sports courts and playgrounds, indoor and outdoor public pools, gyms and fitness centers, and banquet rooms won't be allowed to reopen yet.
