ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis police officer charged in the 'Russian roulette' shooting death of another officer made a brief court appearance, Monday morning.
Twenty-nine year-old Nathaniel Hendren is charged with involuntary manslaughter in 24-year-old officer Katlyn Alix's death at an apartment in January. Hendren and another officer were on-duty at the time, while Alix wasn't working. Hendren's attorney says Alix's death was a "tragic accident."
The judge asked Nathaniel Hendren and his attorneys Monday, if an indictment had been handed down in the case yet. They said, "no."
His appearance lasted only about one minute. He was still sporting the black eye he suffered the night of the shooting.

Alix's family gathered on the sidewalk, watching as Hendren was escorted out of the courthouse and into a vehicle.
