ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Bikes are out, scooters are in.

It doesn't take long looking around a downtown street to spot a scooter, but it's been harder to find bikes anywhere in the area.

Now, Lime tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that they plan to get rid of all their bike shares in the St. Louis area and replace them with, you guessed it, more scooters. Company officials say it's all about what's popular.

However, Lime does say they'll send in some bikes with electric motors.

Also, scooter company 'Spin' is applying to enter the market too. Spin is owned by Ford Motor Co.
