ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - What would you do to show your St. Louis Blues spirit? One fan ran 28 miles, carrying a giant Blues flag on Saturday afternoon.

Andy Bartelsmeyer is an avid marathon runner from Wildwood, Mo. and also a passionate Blues fan. He decided before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final – the first Blues home Final game in 49 years – to run from Lafayette High School in Wildwood all the way to the Gateway Arch. All while carrying a big Blues flag.

He says he was getting honked at the whole way, as some cars blasted "Gloria" from their speakers and passengers yelled "Lets Go Blues!"

And yes, he went to the game.

Shoutout to superfan Andy Bartelsmeyer who ran 28 miles from Wildwood to the Arch carrying a giant #stlblues flag! And YES he’s going to the game tonight! #StanleyCupFinal #becauseitsthecup #lgb pic.twitter.com/mjdS85lDy2

He had a support vehicle of family and friends along with him the entire route, sharing photos and video along the way.

You can see the full route he ran, here, which of course had to stop by Enterprise Center to run through the Game 3 concert and pregame party.

KMOX sports host Amy Marxkors ran with him few for a few miles as well and interviewed him while he took a short break during the route.
