ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — On the hot seat for how she's spending taxpayer money, the St. Louis prosecutor is scheduled to appear this week before an aldermanic budget committee.
The Ways and Means committee wants to ask questions about how Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is spending taxpayer money on outside lawfirms to deal with the perjury probe she's facing. \
Committee Chair Joe Vollmer was asked if Gardner will show up.
"Well, if she wants her budget approved, she should show up, yes. The budget has to be on (Mayor Lyda Krewson's) desk by July 1st."
What about Gardner's request for taxpayer money?
"I don't know that her problems are the city's problems," Vollmer told KMOX's Kevin Killeen.
Gardner is slated to appear before the committee Wednesday afternoon
