ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis County Councilman Tim Fitch is calling for County Executive Steve Stenger's resignation, saying he has "witnessed near paralysis in county government."
Fitch says county taxpayers don't have time to wait for the next election in 2022 or the end of the federal investigation into Stenger's office, which was announced last month. He listed problems in the county such as budget concerns, road conditions, crime, death in jail and aging neighborhoods.
The former county police chief joined KMOX on Total Information AM, after sharing his letter on Twitter, Monday morning:

April 1, 2019 A federal grand jury issued a subpeona last month, asking for all county contracts, and Stenger's call history, texts and emails with current and former county employees regarding those contracts. It also demanded recordings and minutes from council meetings and hearings dating to 2015.
