It was just after 3:30 this morning when the stabbing victim began banging on the door of a home on College Avenue, not far from I-70. She later died at the hospital.

Police believe she was stabbed on or near the highway, then ran to the home for help.

Officers have spent much of the day trying to identify the victim. Her next of kin is now being notified of what happened.
