ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Tuesday morning St. Louis police and the Bomb and Arson unit investigated a suspicious package delivered to the KSDK studio downtown.

Police closed Market Street between 10th and 11th while crews were on the scene. Since the all clear was given and nothing hazardous was detected, streets reopened just after 11 a.m.

Special thanks to the @STLFireDept for assisting our Bomb & Arson Unit during this incident. Nothing hazardous was located. The area is #AllClear and the streets are now open. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

According to KSDK, the package, which has been deemed not a bomb, was addressed to former Sen. Claire McCaskill and delivered to its mailroom Monday afternoon. KSDK reported it was moved to the lobby of the building for an x-ray.

The building was evacuated as St. Louis Fire Department HAZMAT crews investigated. An unknown substance was found in the non-explosive package and HAZMAT officials sprayed it down. KSDK recieved the all-clear from police at about 11 a.m.
