CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) - Heads up if you are near downtown Clayton, as a water main broke and the gushing water caused part of S. Central Avenue to close.
The break happened just south of Bonhomme Ave. on S. Central Ave around 2 p.m., Wednesday.
Avoid the area if you can, as freezing is expected with temperatures in the single digits.
The water flowed down the street and St. Louis County salt trucks are on the scene.
The water from that main break flowed downhill onto Shaw Park Dr. and further downhill toward Brentwood/170. @SaintLouCo salt trucks are out. @kmoxnews
