Entertainment Remembering Paul Walker: A Look Back at the Late Actor’s Films

Remembering Paul Walker: A Look Back at the Late Actor’s Films

Paul Walker was at the height of his career when he passed away tragically young in a November 2013 car crash.

While he is most known for his role in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, Walker’s filmography is diverse, ranging from teen movie classics to comedies to action flicks to thrillers.

In honor of his birthday today (he would have been 46 this year), we’ve compiled some of the most classic Paul Walker films and their trailers below.

She's All That (1999)

This film is a classic from the late-90s golden era of teen movies. And it all started with a wager from Walker's character Dean Sampson: six week to turn the most hopelessly lost girl in high school (a girl with *gasp* glasses) into the prom queen.

Joy Ride (2001)

Before he was racing streetcars in "The Fast and the Furious," he was running away from truckers in "Joy Ride," a revenge thriller spurred by a practical joke gone wrong.

Into the Blue (2004)

Yeah, you could say that "Into the Blue," a movie about a group of friends on the run from drug dealers after finding a stash of cocaine in a crashed airplane, has a plot. But let's not kid ourselves like a major draw isn't seeing Paul Walker, Jessica Alba and their other beautiful friends doing sick jet ski tricks and swimming in an underwater tropical paradise.

Noel (2004)

In this star-studded feel-good holiday film, Walker plays Mike Riley, fiance to Nina, played by Penelope Cruz. This scene is proof that no one can resist Paul's dreamy eyes, not even diner server Artie, who is played by Alan Arkin.

The Lazarus Project (2008)

"The Lazarus Project" is the whirlwind story of Ben (played by Walker), a man who turns back to a life of crime after losing his job, and determine to reunite with his wife and daughter.

Varsity Blues (1999)

What can you say? Walker's just got that teen flick look. In high school football classic "Varsity Blues," he plays the star quarterback who ends up injured.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

This is the one that catapulted Walker to a level of fame most actors can only dream of. If there's anything we can learn from this franchise that's still going strong today, it's that people like fast cars... A LOT. Walker's role in the first film as Brian, a newcomer to street racing who's taken under the wings of Dominic (Vin Diesel), is an essential foundation of the series' success.

Pleasantville (1998)

Ever wonder if the world of "Leave It to Beaver" was as quaint as it seems? The hypothesis of this film, about two siblings who find themselves in the world of a 1950s TV shit, is a hard no.

Furious 7 (2015)

As Walker tragically died during the filming of this film, "Furious 7" was sadly the last movie of the series that featured him.
