FLASH FLOOD WATCH: Heavy rain followed by snow, ice in St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A flash flood watch is in effect for the St. Louis Metro area for Friday morning through Saturday morning. 

Temperatures on Friday are expected to reach 64, which is just four degrees lower than the record high set in 2017. It will start dropping to the 40s by Saturday morning, then end in the 20s with icy spots developing around the area.

The worst of the winter weather will be to the north and west of downtown St. Louis.
