New Build-A-Bear workshop opens near Union Station in St. Louis this weekend

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Build-A-Bear Workshop is opening a new store in downtown St. Louis this weekend, right next to its new World "Bearquarters" near Union Station, the St. Louis Wheel and St. Louis Aquarium.
To celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, Jan. 4, Build-A-Bear will have a full day of fun-filled activities starting with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:55 a.m.
Build-A-Bear Workshop announced earlier this year that it would be moving its global headquarters to downtown St. Louis, from Overland, Mo. It will begin operating at the Grand Central building on 18th Street near Union Station in the spring of 2020.
The first 50 guests in line will receive a free Lil' Cub furry friend.
The Workshop will have hourly raffles of gifts such as St. Louis Blues items, tickets to the St. Louis Wheel, Build-A-Bear Workshop gift cards and more.
Mascots like Bearemy and Pawlette of Build-a-Bear, Louie of the St. Louis Blues, and Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals will be at the Workshop throughout the day to celebrate and take photos with guests.
Guests of all ages are invited to come to celebrate the downtown Build-A-Bear Workshop grand opening with giveaways and fun activities all day.
