Third and final phase of Enterprise Center $150 million renovation plan is underway

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Construction workers are back at Enterprise Center, completing phase three of the arena's three-year, $150 million upgrade.
This summer, they're replace the old purple seats in the lower bowl, turn the Pepsi Plaza into the Blues Fan Deck and yes, continue working on the escalators. Another area that will get a "world class upgrade" is the Blues For Kids zone, which is filled on game days by members of the Blues community outreach program.
Last year, the upper-bowl seats were replaced, new gathering spaces were designed and brand new team stores were among the additions to the St. Louis Blues home.
Blues Chief Revenue Officer Steve Chapman tells KMOX they're also preparing to display some historic memorabilia from the first Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history. He says they want to make Enterprise Center the "town hall of St. Louis."
"We already think that it is," Chapman says. "But we wanted to make sure that St. Louis, the city and area are properly reflected in the building."
Chapman says there will also be lot of offseason work involving things fans won't see, like infrastructure and H-VAC system upgrades.
Some of the work won't be done before the buiding reopens for the John Mayer concert on Sept. 3.
