ST. LOUIS - Two-time IndyCar Series Champion and 2023 Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden still had a smile on his face in spite of just coming off a tough race weekend.

Newgarden, fresh off of a tough race in Indianapolis in which he had to pit six times, stopped by the KMOX studios Monday and joined The Dave Glover Show to help promote the upcoming Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at the World Wide Technology Raceway at the end of August.

For Newgarden, the World Wide Technology Raceway has been one of Newgarden's strongest tracks, with the 29-year-old Nashville native winning four races at the track since it returned to the IndyCar calendar back in 2017.

Newgarden talks to Dave Glover and the crew(28:50 into the first hour) and discusses his motorsports background, how it took till he was 13 to convince to finally get into karting, his previous sports background in baseball, and training regimes of a racing driver and how vastly different it is compared to other professional athlete's training regimes.
