St. Louis (KMOX) -- The National Football League once again makes its case to toss a lawsuit from the City of St. Louis.

The NFL and Los Angeles Rams made a final pitch to a District Judge this week. They want to deny a trial over the relocation of the team from St.
Louis in 2016.

They asked Judge Christopher McGraugh for a summary judgement, saying the league's relocation policy was just a guideline, and violating it did not defraud the city. No ruling was made.

A hearing on the NFL's change of venue request is set for next Tuesday. St. Louis is seeking millions of dollars in damages over the relocation.

The lawsuit is currently set to begin trial in a St. Louis courtroom in January of 2022. But law experts believe, unfortunately for St. Louis, it will likely be moved back again. The lawsuit was filed more than fours years ago.
