ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday the 25 Modern-Era semifinalists for induction as part of the class of 2025 and once again, among the semifinalists is former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Torry Holt.

Holt was among 10 players who headline the group of returning finalists from last year, joining Antonio Gates, Jared Allen, Reggie Wayne, Willie Anderson, Jahri Evans, Darren Woodson, Eric Allen, Rodney Harrison, and Fred Taylor.

Among the 25 names to be named a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 also include first-time nominees Eli Manning, former Defensive Players of the Year Luke Kuechly and Terrell Suggs; postseason kicking hero Adam Vinatieri; three-time Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas; and two-time All-Pro guard Marshal Yanda.

Holt played all but one season with the Rams, amassing 12,660 yards and 74 touchdowns during his decade long career in St. Louis. Among his achievements alongside winning Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams include seven Pro Bowls Appearances, being first a First Team All-Pro in 2003 and being a part of the Hall of Fame All-2000s Team.

Holt played a key part for the 1999 St. Louis Rams also known as "The Greatest Show on Turf", where an offense that had Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Issac Bruce and Orlando Pace set setting numerous offensive records, MVPs and a Super Bowl victory during their peak as the most unstoppable offense in football history.

Warner, Faulk, Bruce, Pace, along with Rams head coach Dick Vermeil have all been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, with Holt the only key member left from the offense of that team to not have been inducted yet.

Holt will look to be named a finalist for the sixth time in the process when the Pro Football Hall of Fame will cut down Modern-Era Players category to 15 finalists late this year.
