ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It's David Freese night at the ballpark!

The hometown hero, 2011 World Series MVP and St. Louis Cardinals legend will be back at Busch Stadium Tuesday night. He's going to meet with some fans before the game (who paid for the special Bud Bash Theme Ticket) and will throw out the honorary first pitch before the Cardinals face the Milwaukee Brewers at 6:45 p.m.

Freese is clearly excited for his return to Busch Stadium as he tweeted "We will see you tonight Busch Stadium!" this morning:

He was asked recently by Cardinals broadcast Dan McLaughlin on Scoops With Danny Mac about his upcoming first pitch.

"I'm just real excited to get back there to hear the crowd," Freese said.

He's also hoping that Hall of Fame shortstop and "my guy growing up" Ozzie Smith can catch his throw, like he did for St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup champion and fellow St. Louis native Pat Maroon earlier this season.
