ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Harrison Bader said it was a "tame" party this year after clinching a spot in the 2020 playoffs.
There's a couple reasons to explain why there are no videos of beer showers and passionate clubhouse speeches. One is because Major League Baseball has outlawed those types of celebrations due to the pandemic.
The league wants players to avoid dogpiles and to keep celebrations outdoors while masking up as soon as they possibly can.
But the other reason for the subdued reaction in St. Louis is that "because we want so much more," Bader says.
