ST. LOUIS - Masyn Winn will make his Cardinals debut Friday night.
The St. Louis Cardinals released the lineup for Friday night against the New York Mets and Winn will start Friday night.
Winn, unsurprisingly, will man shortstop, while his first major league at bat will be in the ninth position.
It's been a hectic last 24 hours for the 21-year-old native. Immediately after homering in Thursday night game for Memphis, Winn was given the notice he would be promoted to the Cardinals after the game, news his teammates were extremely excited about.
It's no doubt that Winn does deserve to be promoted to the big leagues. The 21-year-old Texas native hitting tools clicked in Triple-A, especially as the summer dragged in. Winn has hitted a .288/.359/.474 slash line, hitting an OPS for .834 and collecting 128 hits, 61 RBIs, and hitting 18 home runs while stealing 17 stolen bases.
