ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Tim Parker's time with St. Louis City SC has come to an end.

The longtime MLS center back, who scored the first goal in City SC history, has been traded to the New England Revolution in exchange for an center back Henry Kessler.

As part of the deal, New England will also receive allocation money as well.

MLS Insider Tom Bogert was the first to initially report of the trade on Friday.

Parker sent a post on his X, formerly known as Twitter, account on Friday to seemingly confirm the report.

Parker,31 , has been a key figure in City SC's backline, appearing in 56 appearances during his time with City SC and was a key figure in City SC's historical first season in the MLS, with Parker earning a place in the 2023 MLS All-Star team and being named runner-up as MLS Defender of the Year in 2023.

Parker's contract with City SC was set to expire on Dec. 31, and according to Bogert, contract talks between City SC and Parker's camp "were not going smoothly".
