Health partners for St. Louis CITY SC were announced today, with WashU Orthopedics announcing that it will be the team's official doctors.
As part of the relationship, the team's new training facility, which is across the street from Centene Stadium, will be called the Washington University Orthopedics High Performance Center. In addition to the WashU partnership, BJC Healthcare will provide medical services to the soccer club.
WashU reports that the team and the medical services will also come together for events like the CITY Sprint 5K, as well as nutrition and health education and volunteer programs.
CITY2 practiced this morning as new health partners were announced. A power issue is keeping the team from breaking in the new stadium this weekend. Instead they'll play Sporting KC II at SIU Edardsville at 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can listen to the game on KMOX.
