Imagine earning $1,000 just by eating snacks like Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets, biscuits and gravy or banana pudding. Well, you might not actually have to just imagine it.
That’s because FinanceBuzz, a finance information website, is looking for someone to be its paid taste tester. Whoever lands the “Buc-ee’s Bud-ee” position will be tasked with taste testing 25 popular items from the chain.
Buc-ee’s locations can be found throughout several states, mostly in the South. They are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
In addition to $1,000, the FinanceBuzz’ Buc-ee’s Bud-ee road-tripper will also get $250 to buy the snacks and Buc-ee’s merch. This “side hustle” is not a partnership with Buc-ee’s, according to Finance Buzz.
“Please do not contact Buc-ee’s directly about this opportunity,” said the site.
There are also some requirements that the potential taste tester must meet. Frist, they must live near a Buc-ee’s location and be at least 18 years old. Second, they must be willing to try every snack at Buc-ee’s. Examples include:
· Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets
· Sweet and savory kolaches
· Hippo tacos
· Barbecue sandwiches
· Buc-ee’s Lemon Crisps
· Homemade fudge
· Buc-ee’s Gummi Bears
· Banana pudding
· Biscuits and gravy
“We’ll give you a shopping list (with some blank spaces for you to improvise), and count on you to document your experience through written product reviews and photographs,” said FinanceBuzz. These notes will be used for an upcoming article featured on the site.
Applications for the Buc-ee’s Bud-ee project are due Sept. 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET. A candidate will be selected by Sept. 18 and they will receive a notification via email. From that point, they’ll have two weeks to complete their taste-testing journey.
“We will update this page to announce our newest team member, as well as share the final results,” said FinanceBuzz. Those interested can apply here.
