'Scrolling is actually just not good for your brain'

"Lately I think I've just been not looking at the comment sections, because I never leave feeling like, 'that was a good thing to do,'" admits Murph. "I've been trying to post and just put my phone away and not look at it, and then I try not to scroll. Scrolling is actually just not good for your brain."

"I think social media is the root of a lot of people's mental stuff right now," she adds. "I think it makes it so much worse because everyone's looking at everyone's version of life and thinking that their life should look like that. When in reality we're all making sure our posts look good. It's not like what our lives actually look like."

As for the tools she uses when struggling with her own mental health? "I mean, therapy is like an obvious answer," Jessie says. "Working out actually really helps. Physical activity really helps, even though that's the last thing you want to do."
