2020 was deadliest year in St. Louis history; 286 homicides, police report

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Last year was officially the deadliest year in recorded St. Louis history, in terms of total homicides. Police say there were 286 homicides in 2020, surpassing the previous record of 267 set in 1993.

On Thursday, the St. Louis Metro Police Department released its annual report detailing the number of homicides, where they were committed and the age, race and sex of who they were committed by and who the victims were.
