ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to a St. Louis shooting that took place in 2015.

On April 13, 2015, at approximately 12:08 a.m., St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Greer for a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located 35-year-old Tameeka Brown in a grassy field, shot. She died on scene.

A witness stated she heard gunshots and observed a vehicle leaving the area with its headlights off. She then observed the victim in the grassy field.

Police say that since the suspect, whose name was not released, was 16-years-old when the shooting happened in 2015, the case has been referred to Juvenile Court.
