314 Day is about celebrating St. Louis

SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - You don't have to live in the 314 area code to celebrate "314 Day" on March 14th.

Sarah Arnosky Ko with Greater St. Louis Inc. says while it's known as "Pi Day" in other places - it's different here, "It really has just become a regional holiday so to speak, that's shared across communities, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses. People just make it their own and show their pride in unique ways."

In fact, celebrating "314 Day" has already begun this year. Ko says there was just too much to celebrate to fit on one day. From events and pop-ups, to specials at eateries and businesses, to races and community events, there's a lot going on the next five days.

Ko adds, "The part I really love about 314 Day is uncovering things you didn't know existed or going to a new place you've never been before, really starting to appreciate all St. Louis has to offer. We definitely know our own neighborhoods pretty well, but how do we start to branch out and embrace all that St. Louis is?"
