MOTGOMERY COUNTY, IL (KMOX) - Illinois State Police have released the names of six of the seven people killed on Interstate 55 Monday, in a 72 car chain reaction pile up, during a dust storm.
64-year old Earl LeGrand of Florissant, 88-year old Harper of Wisconsin, 71 and 73 year old Donna and Joseph Bates of Crystal Lake Illinois, 54 and 55 year old Amy and Michael Zinchuck of Champaign, Illinois.
ISP is working with the Montgomery County Coroner's office to confirm the identity of the 7th person killed.
In addition to the fatalities, 37 other people were hurt, with injuries ranging from minor to critical.
