ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - People around St. Louis are likely to indulge a bit more than usual for this Fourth of July holiday weekend. If you're looking to try something new, a pair of local restaurants have a surprise for you.
Mission Taco and Hi-Pointe Drive-In have collaborated to create the "All-American Cheeseburger Taco" that will be available at their restaurant locations from July 1-4. Chefs Jason Tilford of Mission Taco and Mike Johnson of Hi-Pointe made the announcement on social media.
They say this taco will "blow your mind."
The cheeseburger taco has bacon burger meat, American cheese, Oaxaca special sauce, shredded lettuce and “pickle” de gayo all on a flour tortilla.
And buying one (or many, many more) will help a good cause. Proceeds from all sales of the cheeseburger taco will go toward Hogs for the Cause, a non-profit that helps families of children with brain cancer.
