ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A truck collided with a public bus in St. Louis, causing six people to be hospitalized – two in serious condition – on Friday afternoon.

The crash involving a Metro Bus happened around 2:30 p.m. near N. Grand Boulevard and Bell Avenue. The St. Louis Fire Department shared video of the scene, showing the front end of a truck partially inside the smashed bus:

There was an initial report of a person trapped, but that statement was corrected.

Six people were transported to the hospital. Two people were taken "urgently in serious condition" and four others were transported with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities say.

"The damage here speaks directly to the speed at which the truck was traveling. School busses & larger public transportation vehicles are constructed to sustain a decent amount of damage," Tweeted Command Staff Officer Garon Mosby.
