President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen releases statement on Downtown mass shooting

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Aldermanic Board President Megan E. Green released a statement Sunday evening regarding the mass shooting Downtown at 1409 Washington Avenue, that left a 17-year old boy dead, nine other teens shot and wounded. And a 17-year old girl believed to be trampled, while running down the stairs to escape the chaos.

St. Louis Police Chief Robert Tracy says a juvenile, believed to be the alleged shooter, has been taken into custody. However, Tracy said several guns were recovered. But, it's not clear if police are looking for more shooters.


Homicide detectives are handling the investigation which is still ongoing.

GREEN'S STATEMENT:
