BB's Jazz Blues and Soups is reopening under new ownership. The South Broadway landmark closed in 2023, but is now under contract to the owners of the nearby Broadway Oyster Bar. In a joint statement, new owners Steve Sullivan and Mark Goldenberg said, "We're re-opening not just to bring back live music, but to preserve a space where culture, community, and creativity have always thrived and bring it forward to a new era in St. Louis. This is St. Louis at its best." An official pre-opening public event is scheduled for this Wednesday at noon. The preview features live music from The Funky Butt Brass Band and Marquise Knox. The owners are also debuting a new Southern-inspired menu, featuring items like brisket cornbread dippers and smoked duck fried rice.
